It all started with one US Military Veteran in Virginia. He came to them after another lender took advantage of him 5 years ago. What they learned would prove to be invaluable. Bill Shillington, Loan Officer
Bill Shillington has over ten years of experience within the mortgage industry. Bill began his career at a local title company in 2006, where he learned everything from what documents are included in a mortgage package to how important it is to have a clear chain of title. After learning the ins and outs of mortgage at the title company, Bill’s career progressed to several roles within the financial services spectrum. He settled in as loan officer, assisting clients that ranged from buying their first homes to borrowers who were relocating with their company and buying their eighth home in five years.
Bill’s hands-on, consultative approach is what makes him successful. He is committed to being a trusted advisor to his clients by taking the extra time to ensure that they fully understand their options and the process as a whole. Bill understands that the client’s home is often their most treasured and important asset. The home purchase process may seem daunting to some, but Bill makes the process as simple and transparent as possible in today’s lending environment.
Bill has a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Accounting.
Jordan Newcomer, Loan Officer
Jordan Newcomer is a solid, conservative, client-centered loan officer who specializes in VA, FHA, and conventional financing as well as new-construction/builder financing. He offers the right solution for every potential homebuyer. A long-time veteran of the mortgage industry, Jordan prides himself in being part of the resurgence of the housing market and helping many of his clients move into their first homes.
Jordan believes that the most important thing that he does on a daily basis is set expectations with homebuyers. The mortgage industry has changed, making the loan process more challenging. If you aren’t an expert, then you need one to guide you – and that is what Jordan does for each of his clients. Jordan’s favorite part of the day is when clients tell him, “This process went exactly how you told me it would, and I can’t imagine having done this without you.”

Joel Farrell, Branch Manager
Joel Farrell has been in the mortgage industry for over a decade. He specializes in working with military clientele across the country, as well as several builders in the MD, VA, and NC areas. Joel's successes can be attributed to a relentless work ethic and an uncanny desire to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Joel believes accessibility and transparency are the leading qualities for delivering great customer service and are fundamental for developing return business.
Mike Swaleh, Branch Manager
Michael Swaleh is a ten-year veteran of the mortgage industry, but his path and experiences are a little different. Originally licensed as a Financial Advisor, Mike moved to mortgages in 2006, around the time that he earned his Master's in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. He quickly rose to management ranks due to an unrelenting focus on accountability, quality, and expectation setting.
In 2013, Mike had the opportunity of a lifetime to star on Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race as leader of the Tikka Tikka Taco truck. He brought with him his Army veteran brother and their uncle, and they sought out to win a food truck! After two months, and seven grueling episodes, they took second place out of eight teams. It was through this endeavor that Mike was introduced to the world of web-based marketing.
Mike has done it all, and has a lot to share. He graduated with a B.S. in Commerce from Santa Clara University in 2005. While he comes from a military family, he himself has not served. “The joke in my family is that all of my brothers went into the military except me, who went to grad school so that I could teach everyone else how to live when they got out.”
